Anvil and Sprocket: Bigger, Faster, Stronger

It’s been awhile since I mentioned the “Anvil and Sprocket”:http://www.anvilandsprocket.com/, our movie review site, here at Thudfactor. In one form or another, it’s been around longer than this weblog. Back when Thudfactor was rarely updated static pages, I was posting reviews here. It’s grown slowly but steadily in the nearly — six years? I can’t remember — I’ve been working on this project.

This last weekend I ripped out the last vestiges of the content management system I wrote for it years and years ago. It was buggy, unstable, insecure, and unsafe. And I have replaced it with Drupal, which is also buggy, unstable, insecure, and unsafe. But Drupal has a lot more features. And it lets me do what I really wanted to do — weave short blog posts in with the movie reviews directly.

We also recently welcomed new writer Miss Chordia, who reviewed “Howl’s Moving Castle”:http://www.anvilandsprocket.com/?q=node/166 for us. Here’s hoping she sticks around!
