Guess ten, knotty edition
February 23, 2007
I had an interesting revelation about one of my newer art tools yesterday, which I will share with you shortly. Right now, though, it’s time to guess ten. I give you ten lyrics, you give me the artist and song title.
# Animaniacs, “Schnitzelbank” [ "Glen":http://www.art-machine.org ] -Ist das nicht ein hairy chest?-
# Soul Coughing, “Lazybones” [ "(: Tom :)":http://www.funnyfarmonline.org/ ] -When all the noise has left your head, will someday you rise off the bed?-
# Garbage, “As Heaven is Wide” [ "Jess":http://wiw.org/~jess/ ] -If god’s my witness god must be blind.-
# Simon and Garfunkel, “April Come She Will” [ Rebel Squirrel ] -In restless walks she’ll prowl the night.-
# REM, “Welcome to the Occupation” -Hang your collar up inside, hang your freedom higher.-
# Neko Case, “A Widow’s Toast” -Better times collide with now, and better times are coming still.-
# KMD, “Who, Me?” -Then zap goes the nap, now I gots good hair.-
# 10cc (covered by Will to Power), “I’m Not in Love” -So if I call you, don’t make a fuss-
# Tori Amos, “Honey” [ Ted ] -Don’t bother coming down, I made a friend of the western sky-
# Afrika Bambaataa (covered by Rage Against the Machine), “Renegades of Funk” [ "(: Tom :)":http://www.funnyfarmonline.org/ ] -We are the force of another creation, a new musical revelation-

Well, I’ve lurked around on too many of your guess 10s saying “I knew that” or “Man, John has random stuff in his collection”. So here goes for #9 (though I feel like I’m cheating, as it’s from probably my favorite song by her) Tori Amos / Honey.
Cheers,
Ted

Hah. It’s not cheating to know the answer, although it is cheating to Google the lyric. And you’re right. My collection is rather random. I often have to skip quite a few songs because I assume no one would have a clue what the lyric is from.
