Cat, Cory update
September 4, 2007
I blogged yesterday about my cat’s tail injury. I’m still concerned about how she’ll heal, but for the time being at least she’s pretty close to back to normal. Besides trying to groom the bandage like it’s her tail, she’s leaving it alone. I remember now that she left her stitches alone even when we had her spayed.
Cory is two months old tomorrow, and growing like a weed. To protect our sanity and his we’ve had to institute a semi-regular bedtime and, now, naptime. He’s much less difficult to get to bed now — still a little fussy, and occasionally stubborn, but it’s been a good week or so since we last had a forty-five-minute screamfest. In fact, we’ve progressed from either “happy” or “angry” to having a middle “annoyed” stage, which — assuming the image loads — you can see here.
There are three things Cory loves. 1) Talking to his panda. 2) Listening to people make train sounds. And now 3) playing Peekaboo. I hope to have a video of that soon.

I think he has Elf’s eyes. At least in that picture.
As for who he gets the annoyed countenance from…hmm…no comment. ;)
Hope Sekhmet feels better.

Cory is adorable… and I hope that cat is feeling better. I’ve been through the newborn/little baby stage twice now — and it is always exhausting. Real regularity certainly takes time — and that’s true for just about everything — sleeping, eating, pooping — although some kids are better than others. Gabriel, my 15 month old, is a bit of a monster lately so I’m probably not the one to even comment here… Ughers.
