Birthday iPod
I really wasn’t paying attention, but I inadvertently celebrated the iPod’s fifth birthday when I bought a new 5G video iPod from Apple. My current Zen Sleek was acting strange, and since a DAP has my constant companion for almost six years now, I decided to replace it before it got to crisis stage.
It is my third, and my experience with the previous iPods I’ve had have been less than reliable. But everyone else’s DAP seems to be racing to the bottom of the reliability heap, and Creative has hitched its wagon to Microsoft. So, it’s back to the iPod. My reasons for *not* buying from Apple, instead of increasing, seem to be _decreasing_ over time.
So I bought one somewhat reluctantly, but dang — this thing is cool. If I could only get iTunes 7 to stop crashing….
