So, Cory is not much for oatmeal or rice cereal, but the pears are a big hit.

Eventually he will pick up on the oatmeal.
It is the gateway to haggis and Oatmeal Stout :)

I’ve heard that rice cereal is really only a “baby food” because it mixed well with formula.

I remember feeding fruit along with cereal — cereal really is pretty useless without something sweet, and fruit is much better than sugar. One other thing to try is blending the cereal with apple juice instead of formula or milk.
