I started a joke

Well, a book actually. I’ll probably post brief progress updates via twitter, so if you’re interested you can follow it there. Unlike the NaNoWriMo thing, I have an outline for this book and a clear idea of where it’s headed. Also I am not killing myself trying to write it in a month.

The really big change is that this will be a non-fiction book about history and politics. Much of our current political discourse lacks any real sense of context beyond a ten-year window, and I’ve been trying to get a larger picture. Once I have that picture, I will have my book.

The plan right now is to write it and immediately self-publish via a shop like LuLu with a PDF version available for free.
