Welcome, Spring
March 20, 2006
It is Mean Earraigh, the Spring Equinox. Winter is over, having barely touched us this year in Northern Virginia. But it’s cold outside today, and there’s snow in the forcast.
It doesn’t matter. The days are getting longer anyway. Spring is here, it’s just going to take a little while for the weather patterns to notice.

I saw a robin last week, so it must be spring. Of course, sometimes I think either a) robins are still around in winter and I don’t notice them; or b) they show up early just to screw with our heads.
My money’s on the latter, actually.
