A brief intermission
At the moment, about the only thing that’s keeping me going right now is the knowledge that I’m going to get a few days off work Real Soon Now. The last two weeks have been one damn thing after another. Work is short-handed and about to get worse, so most of my time and attention has been on what I do for a living and not the bright shiny things that occupy my brain-space most of the time. If that wasn’t enough, I made an exception to my usual rule about not accepting freelance work and spent most of the weekend on that project. I’m starting to have strange dreams about ActionScripting Mystery Science Theater sketches.
Not that I’m complaining, you understand.
Anyway, hopefully things will settle down here in a bit and I can catch up with the news (McCain invated Georgia or something, I hear) and maybe the South can finally get down to the serious business of seceeding. Yes, I’m still reading about the Civil War. At least a paragraph every now and then.
