Mac, thinking there’s something fishy about Pat Robertson’s assertion that people have kids because they have “hope for the future,” has “an absolutely _incredible_ thread”:http://www.peskyapostrophe.com/index.php/weblog/as_a_simple_question_get_a_simple_answer/ where she asks why people have chosen to have kids or remain childless have made that choice.
