Nixon speechwriter: Drafts are good) says he fears Bush may have made drafts inevitable. I can certainly understand the concern there. I’ll admit I’m surprised we captured Saddam, and I think it is good and exciting news. The last thing we need is to leave more unfinished business sitting around, and Bush deserves some credit for actually achieving one of his publicly stated goals.

I’m seeing a lot of outrage over Iraqis commiting war crimes. Things like having soldiers dressed like civilians, mixing military activity in amongst civilian installations, and showing video of captured American POWs.
The outrage strikes me as misplaced. Or at least redundant.
Let’s look at the *tactical* position Iraq is in. They are faced with a superior military. [...]
