A while back I got an obvious phishing scam “looking for my resume”:http://www.thudfactor.com/wordpress/2006/01/13/new-phishingindentity-theft-scam/, which struck me as kind of odd.
I just got another one, but this one makes sense:

What better way to scream to the world “Hey! we’re pretending we have what you need!” than robot ads? You know what I’m talking about: text ads that incorporate key words or search terms to make it *look* like the ad is relevant even when it’s not.

Do you Yahoo? I do. Sarah does, too. In fact, almost everyone I know uses Yahoo. That’s why some of the recent email I’ve received about Yahoo is pretty disturbing. The first was about “marketing preferences.” The second was about Yahoo tracking people’s movements online.
