Via Pesky’, Tennessee moves to make the sale of sex toys illegal.
Senate Bill 3794 (House Bill 3798), legislation that would make it illegal to sell, advertise, publish or exhibit to another person “any three-dimensional device designed or marketed as useful primarily for the stimulation of human genital organs…� [ ... ] this Tennessee legislative tag-team went ahead and introduced their bill last Thursday, and on Monday, it passed a perfunctory first reading. In other Monday developments, Tennesseans died from a lack of health care, remained poorly educated and were among the most obese state populations in the nation. [ Down with Dildos ]

Okay, I thought it was a joke so I went and looked for the legislation, which I found at http://www.legislature.state.tn.us/bills/currentga/BILL/SB3794.pdf. Along the way I found out that they also have legislation to add hogs to the list of animals that it is illegal to maintain and train for sport fighting. Together these two bills will go a long way toward improving the lives of many people, I am sure.

Not a joke; it’s worth noting that the sale of sex toys is already illegal in places like Alabama and Texas.

I heard the bill was droppped and they do not plan on trying to get it passed this session, and I doubt this man will get re-elected, so hopefully we will never have to worry about not being able to buy sex toys in TN
