March 17, 2006
I haven’t done as many of these; too busy on Fridays, strangely enough. But here you go. I give you the lyric, you give me the artist and track title.
# I want to get drunk and get her off of my mind.
# Count Five, “Psychotic Reaction” ["(: Tom :)":http://www.funnyfarmonline.org/] -I feel so lonely night and day; I can’t get your love, I must stay away.-
# Neil Young, “Harvest” [ "rm":http://www.mindpollution.planetmofo.com/] -Dream up, dream up, let me fill your cup with the promise of a man.-
# Barenaked Ladies, “Alcohol” ["(: Tom :)":http://www.funnyfarmonline.org/] -Would you please ignore that you found me on the floor trying on your camisole?-
# Swingin’ Medallions, “Double Shot (of My Baby’s Love)” [carl] -It wasn’t wine that I had too much of…-
# Beastie Boys, “Brass Monkey” ["rm":http://www.mindpollution.planetmofo.com/] -M.C.A. with the bottle, D. rocks the can.-
# Snoop Dogg, “Gin & Juice” ["rm":http://www.mindpollution.planetmofo.com/] -Two in the morning and the party’s still jumping cause my momma ain’t home.-
# Elton John, “Saturday Night’s Alright for Fighting” ["Solonor":http://solonor.com/blogger.html] -My old man’s drunker than a barrel full of monkeys, and my old lady she don’t care.-
# The bait’s over there, the brews right here.
# Searchers, “Love Potion #9″ ["(: Tom :)":http://www.funnyfarmonline.org/] -She’s got a pad down on 34th and Vine-

hi—OT comment (i’m sorry! i couldn’t find an email link)—i just wanted to tell you that i got such a kick out of the name of your website, your tagline, and poor sad man smashing his noggin against the banner wall. i laughed aloud. (that, i’ve been abbreviating “LAL”, but it hasn’t really caught on. people just assume i’ve misspelled LOL.) wish i were clever enough to polish off your last few song lyrics. anywho, nice to “meet” you. :)
