Update: as a response to the previous entries, I posted a short comment saying I found incremental upgrade charges preferable to thier current plan. And then I said I didn’t care what the hell they did, I wasn’t going to buy them again.

This morning I received email telling me my forum account had been deleted and warning me that being ‘uncivil’ in the forums would lead to my IP address being banned.

Wow. Maybe the folks at kuro5hin are right. I am a troll!

Yeesh. I’m glad I stopped using this software a couple of years back. Stories like this always drive me away from vendors.

What, exactly, is uncivil about what you said? I just banned someone for leaving a comment saying he was looking for sex - you are a longtime customer sharing an observation. It’s not like you started using something and said “$U)(#(U$#) - I’m having trouble getting this ($%*$) software installed - stupid company!” As someone with a rapidly growing MP3 collection, I’ll heed your advice - because that’s what it was.

If I was an ungenerous man, I would interpret the “you’re being uncivil” argument as an excuse to delete my account and critical posts so potential customers wouldn’t see them.

Move aside, and let the man go through.
