The novel is 50.1% complete!
I am 28.45% behind schedule.
That’s 5.97 days behind.
It’s been a good writing day today I think. I think I caught up another half-day. Or day and a half. I’m not sure which. I think it actually works out to be a half day. I’m somewhat fried.
I have taken to writing about writing the novel in the novel. I was doing it for awhile on a metaphorical level but now I’m just doing it straight out. I really do think I will have 50,000 words of notes instead of a coherent story by the end of the month assuming I can keep my eyes open long enough to write them.
I am happy I am at the 50% mark but the excitement is tempered by the fact that I am there 5.97 days after I should have been. It still feels like turning homework in late.
The important thing, I guess, was that I set a goal today and wrote to it despite being tired and being distracted. I made it! Now I sleep.
