Love In
April 25, 2003
“Morgan”:http://www.knitwitology.net/knitlog/archives/004144.php#004144 agrees with “Erika”:http://www.snazzykat.com/archives/003601.php#003601 that what the world needs now is love sweet love. And because I’m usually a sucker for those activities that try to spread warm fuzzies around ‘Net rather than cold pricklies, hell, I’ll participate too.
So, my favorite people:
I should of course mention those in my family. “Sarah the Elf”:http://www.elfnoodles.com/ has a remarkably twisted world view I get to appreciate a lot more often than the rest of you because she’s my wife. I don’t have to wait for her to update her weblog. My brother “Glen”:http://www.art-machine.org/ frequently ends up saying the things _I_ would say if I had more nerve. The only complaint I have about him is that I frequently read his posts and say “I ought to just hang up my keyboard.” My sister-in-law “Jennifer”:http://www.cyber-materia.com/ keeps me up to date on the ebay scene and what Anime she likes (which tells me what I should avoid).
Family by virtue of being an old friend as well as a hosting client is “Maria”:http://maria.thudfactor.com/. She and her blogless husband Mike have always been there when needed, which is more than I can say for, well, _me_. I’d also like to take the time to welcome “Rick”:http://www.mindpollution.blogspot.com/ of Mindpollution. He’ll be joining us here at Thudfactor Central — his lively political commentary will be a good addition and I am sure his traffic will rapidly overshadow mine, especially once he gets the porn section up.
But these are all Thudfactor sites, so obviously I like them or I wouldn’t give them space. [The exception is Jennifer, who threatened me with bodily and astral harm.]
Even on days I don’t feel like web surfing (it does happen), I read “The Gamer’s Nook”:http://www.gamersnook.com/blog/. For some reason, Scott always makes me feel like I’m hanging out with him in a bar. I keep trying to buy the next round.
“Nicole”:http://thegofish.com/ is such a fashion nazi she’d probably have a seizure if she met me in person. Oh, wait, we’re supposed to say nice things. I started reading her for the political commentary, but it’s really the anecdotes that keep me coming back. She’s celebrating the first birthday of her weblog today, so drop by and wish her happy birthday!
Finally, I was a regular reader of “Morgan”:http://www.knitwitology.net/knitlog/ before I had my own weblog. What can I say, Morgan? Even my cat is a fan:

Waitaminute… you can use the internet for PORN, too? Damn, methinks I really have to spend more time on this “Information Super-Highway”.
Many thanks for the kind words, man.

And here I was even working on the Thudfactor mascot this morning. I’m hurt. *sniffles*

The feeling’s mutual, John. A shame you weren’t closer. :)
There’s probably a half-dozen blogs I always check, of which yours is one (and Nicole, and a few others). Besides, who else posts cool geomancy programs?
