Spam has really gotten out of hand again, so I’ve been updating my filters. this means, unfortunately, I have to read the spam that *has* gotten through a lot more carefully. Here’s a real gem:
bq. Don’t want to receive our emails anymore? It’s very easy to oppt out. And yes, doing so really will allow you to opppt out. We aren’t just saying that so that we can put on the facade that we’re legitimate advertsers, whilst laughing away, blatantly ignoring remvve requests. If you remove your name from our list, you definitely will be remm,oved. Your name will be marked as r,emoved in our email database, and you won’t receive mail again. We don’t really know how more clearly we can explain this. Just take our word for it. Otherwise, continue toreceive these emails. Now is your chance to opp,t out. Do so by clicking this “UNSUBCRIBE” link. P.S. - It really works
I love it. “Trust us; we don’t know what more we can say.” Of course, every time they spell keywords they think someone might filter on, they introduce a “typo.” It’s never “opt out” but “oppt out” or “opppt out.” And not “removed” but “r,emoved.”
Yes, that gives me a lot of confidence in 1) your desire to ensure I don’t get email I don’t want and 2) your trustworthiness in general.

Hi!
Pardon my uninvited intrusion on your comments section, but I felt so compelled to write to you.
I’ve been doing a bit of blog jumping today…I either came by your site via a ring link or perhaps by a link you left in my comments on my blog…
I really enjoyed your blog, so I am vaingloriously resorting to emailing you an invitation to join a blog ring I created called “Bloggin the Cosmos”
Its a relatively new ring for bloggers…only been around for about 4 months, and given time and connections I have hopes that it will grow into a not only good traffic creator for those of us that wish someone would read the things we write, but also to eventually create links of sorts for those of us who need occasional help with our writing muse, tips and tricks and what not.

I wont even point out the irony of that last comment. That was shameless, horrid. I don’t know anything about this blog stuff as I dont spend too much time surfing, but to spam reply an anti-spam post is disgusting. Really.
