Support our Troops…

As long as it doesn’t cost anything.

We all know Bush has been starving first-responders. Police, fire departments, and the like. Yeah, he requested more money for them from Congress, but he also requested they cut practically every other program they had to make up for the “increase” in funding.

Well, now the Army Times is complaining he’s “supporting the troops in word only.”:http://www.armytimes.com/story.php?f=0-ARMYPAPER-1954515.php Talk is cheap, an army is not.

This editorial complains that not only is he allowing cuts in the Army’s military construction budget, he’s proposing cuts in pay raises to the lowest-paid soldiers (e-1s, e-2s) and cuts in imminent-danger pay and family-separation allowance — money that specifically goes to the troops on the ground.

So if liberals simply *asking* if soldiers’ lives are being wasted in an underplanned, underfunded, and unjust war is treason — what is cutting soldiers’ pay when they’re being shot at?

Thanks, “Scott”:http://www.gamersnook.com/blog/archives/001444.html#001444, for pointing this one out.
