I found the writer’s comments about unseemly licking in inappropriate places amusing. How does he feel about dog’s doing the same thing? How about dogs humping one’s leg? Does that smack of bestiality?

Cats do not worship. They are not controlled by any demon. They merely do what God and nature intend them to do. They hunt, procreate, and die - like many other creatures.

Cats are charming creatures with a free and independent will. They show affection when they feel like doing so. Cats are merely attitude wrapped in fur.

My wife and I are both Christian. We feel it is following the Christian belief system to love all creatures, both great and small. Do them no undo harm, and show them kindness; just like we should do with our fellow human beings. We have several cats. We enjoy their independent and free wheeling ways. They are our four-legged friends and “fur kids.” Their antics bring a great deal of joy to us. It’s hard to come home from a long day of work and not feel happiness at the antics of a playful cat. Besides, there are few things more sublime in all of God’s creation than a cat purring in your ear at bedtime.

Personally, I feel it’s very un-Christian to impose human values such as chastity on animals. They are animals. What they do is by instinct. Only man can be evil. Because it is only man that can be consciously deceitful. Animals do what they do because they don’t and cannot know any other way. That is how God made them. That which was made by God has made cannot be evil. Hence, the cat is not evil.

Even when they aren’t immediately present in the room, my eyes get itchy, my throat gets clogged up, and they smell. Of course those little hairy bastards are evil!
