An Inconvenient Truth
I went to see _An Inconvenient Truth_ yesterday. I went into it thinking that I was the choir Al Gore was preaching to, but really not — there’s so much more than I thought. I knew the evidence of global warming was strong, but I still didn’t realize how damning it was. I was also pretty much resigned to it, thinking there wasn’t much we could do, but now I’m changing my mind.
The movie is impressive on just about any level you want to look at it. It is especially impressive from a design standpoint. If you’re interested in motion graphics, there are lots of reasons to see the movie. If you’re interested in graphic design and layout, you should buy the book. And if you’re interested in multimedia presentations, you should do both — the extent to which the book _looks_ like the movie beats anything I have ever seen.
