Cocooning
There’s transportation problems all over the District today because of the sudden terrorist threat thingy. Right now there are few people I trust _least_ than the jokers in charge of our anti-terrorism policies, so let’s think about something terribly materialistic.
I cancelled cable and funneled that money into buying DVDs. I now have hours upon hours of quality entertainment to watch from the last forty years:

* _A Funny Thing Happened on the Way to the Forum_
* _Joseph Campbell and The Power of Myth_ with Bill Moyers
* _The Adventures of Brisco County, Jr._
* _So I Married an Axe Murderer_
* _Airplane!_
And for my birthday, my parents sent me:
* _Fawlty Towers_
* _Wild Wild West_ season 1.
I am also breathlessly awaiting the final release of _Get Smart_, rumored for this fall.
