Two questions I have been asking recently.

Why is the Gop party morally outraged when their malfeasance is exposed prior to elections? See Mark Foley, of course, but “also Curt Weldon”:http://tinyurl.com/yg86s5. It seems to me criminal and ethics questions are pretty much _responsible_ issues for someone to consider before voting.

Also:

Why is it suddenly inappropriate to make the Gops face the consequences of their policy decisions — as in, say, the “Michael J. Fox ad”:http://www.truthdig.com/report/item/200601026_molly_ivins_a_campaign_of_sleaze/?

Some Gops say it’s sentimentality-based policy making, not logic. I’m not sure how to respond to that. It’s like Richard Dawkins criticizing you for not tithing. I thought I’d momentarily stepped into an alternate universe. I was like, wait, does Clinton have a goatee in this one?
