Friday 10: Everything is Temporary, Anyway

When the streets are wet, the colors slip into the sky.

Welcome! Last week five people guessed eight lyrics, which is pretty good! One of the two that escaped was P’s and Q’s by English grime artist Kano. He’s not obscure by any means, but perhaps he is for this audience. You never can tell, though!

The second was “Tulsa Time,” country artist Don Williams’s eighth number one hit (out of seventeen), and very different from Kano’s both musically and thematically.

If you're returning here, you’ll notice that things have changed quite a bit, and I explained why earlier this week. The biggest change from your end is that comments currently require registration, which is a bit of a bummer. If I can find a way to turn on commenting without an account signup I will, but so far all the options I have found are third-parties I trust far less than I trust Ghost.

On the other hand, the commenting system is far more robust and I can send out update notices to returning players instead of spamming social media.

Enough talk! Rules recap:

  • No searchin’
  • Answer with both the title and artist
  • I’ll accept answers that are covers of the original, assuming I can find them.
